Isn't that always the case. It seems we've done it again- trying to do a million things at once. So, here's the new news:
England here we come! Yes, we will be going to visit Kaz's family in England and yes, we have planned to leave in a little over a week. Jade received her passport a couple of days ago and I have to say it is a little weird that she has one. We've planned on taking military hops most of the way. I know, I know. We said we would never do that again (for those of you who know about our last trip). However, we've decided that we are now a little wiser and can make better decisions when it comes to military travel (which is why we have allowed ourselves 3 weeks of vacation).
Kaz is still submitting resumes like crazy in the hopes to find another job before we leave so that he has something when he gets out. I do have to say that this has proved to be a little more difficult than we anticipated. We knew it wouldn't be easy but some things have fallen through recently. Kaz was planning on joining the guard band in order to keep his GI Bill (free college money) and receive a sign-on bonus. To our surprise, he found out that he would get neither if he leaves active duty. This has put quite a wrench into the cogs. He had anticipated being able to go to school for whatever he wanted to do next and do it for free. So, now he's not sure what he should do.
Jade is doing great. She has her 9 mo. appointment in the morning so I'll be sure to let everyone know how she measures up. Still no teeth and still no crawling. Her crawling consists of leaning over as far as she can when sitting up but she won't put her feet behind her. I don't think it will be long though. She doing a lot of self feeding now. Her favorites are chunks of banana and Joe O's (Trader Joe's version of cheerios).
I'll post some photos of her in a couple of days.
The next month should prove to be very interesting and life changing.
