Thanksgiving...

I know it is probably closer to Christmas than Thanksgiving but that's how it goes around here. We spent our Thanksgiving day at my Aunt Teri's house with family. There was certainly a lot of food and games. My aunt had gotten a hold of a game they had when they were kids- a hockey game sort of like Foosball but harder. She also managed to put together a game of Bingo with prizes. Oddly enough that was the biggest hit. We spent all day there and Jade was great. Grandma and Grandpa had a terrific time keeping up with her. It was also the first time that Jade started to get a little confused thinking there were two grandmas. As you can see, my mom and my aunt look very much alike.

The following day a childhood friend/neighbor of Kaz's came over with his wife and daughter. This is Mary. Mary is a little over a year old right now so she and Jade could interact a bit. Mary isn't quite walking yet but they had a good time. Carrie's family lives in Cincinnati so they popped over during their long weekend. It was really nice to see them again and wish we could do it more often.
It was great to be able to hang out with them too.

After 2 days of going, going, going, we did manage to take a breather before starting back up again.

In other news, Kaz is still working hard at the trombone. He practices at least 3 hours a day (good thing we have great neighbors!). He's been gigging for the United States Air Force Band of Flight- yes, the same one he left in May. He's been added to their Christmas show this year- 8 performances. There are a handful of auditions coming up so I'll keep you all posted.
