Happy Birthday...

Jade is 1! I can't believe it. And I am so slow about getting this posted. We had a birthday party for her on July 19, a week after her birthday. We had so many Air Force friends that are doing summer tours that it was literally the only weekend people had free.

Of course, Kaz and I spent the better part of the first of the month trying to get our house and yard presentable. As the guest list got longer, we found we needed to do a little rearranging and open up some space. We had probably 25 adults and several kids over for the event.

Our neighbor really got into it. She likes to work with balloons and built Jade 2 purple balloon arches in the backyard and at least a dozen small bouquets for inside the house. We grilled out and had the usual sides. We had a really great time and wishing that I had taken some more photos. Jade certainly enjoyed having the spotlight.

Kaz and I loved to be able to have so many people over and had a great time watching people have fun. We really want to do it again soon.
