Over the weekend I had a great treat! My very dear friend Carrington came from New York for a visit. The last time I saw her was for her 30th birthday last year and we've been working on a way to take turns visiting each other every year. She also brought one of her two daughters, Amelia, with her.
Amelia is one of three children who are 2 weeks older than Jade. Yeah- triplets. This weekend was a much needed rest for her and a chance for some one-on-one time with one of her kids. Daddy was holding down the fort with the other two.
We had a fabulous time. We did some shopping, went to a dairy farm, went to the park, hung out on the back porch, talked (of course!) and went driving around. All the things we wish we could do more often together.
Jade had a great time with her new friend and I think was completely worn out by the time Amelia left. She didn't get out of bed the next day until almost 10am!

We took Amelia to another farm to see animals over the weekend. She still doesn't like them much.
