Jade turned 2 this weekend and boy did we have some parties. That's right, we had 2 parties this year.
On Saturday, we had friends and neighbors over for some good food and fun. There were three or four other kids there Jade's age and a couple of older kids as well. It was really nice to host a party again (we like to do that). It was even nicer when we had about 20 people in our living room. Kaz spent the better part of the week trying to get our yard in shape only to have it pour down rain during her party! Oh, well...at least the yard looks great!
On Sunday, we had a party at my Aunt's house in Indianapolis for family. Again, we were very happy about being able to get together and have a good time. This party was a pool party as our hostess was kind enough to open the pool for us (and heated!). Some more good food and what more could you want.
Jade was actually quite thrilled with the parties this year. She definitely knew what was going on this time. She mastered unwrapping presents, blowing out candles, and cupcakes. This year's theme was a lady bug picnic. I'll bet by next year, she'll be a real handful.
So, what do you do after all is said and done?...why get crazy with the leftover balloons. A video for you all...

Love the video! That's too funny. My guys went nuts with balloons after their party too. Got so crazy I finally had to cut all the strings--Abby got herself hopelessly tangled. From the looks of this--did you get a haircut? Looks good!
